Surge Technology's DSM/BPO overvoltage protection modules have been upgraded and redesigned to protect modem lines against lightning and overvoltage damage.

Earth connection is via a push-on connector for a 1,5 mm2 earth wire. Nominal discharge surge current and maximum discharge surge current is 5 and 10 kA respectively. Their operating temperature range is from -25 to +80°C.
