Panasonic Broadcast and Television Systems Division has announced the launch of the new Super Dynamic II DSP.
With image signals at two different speeds, this digital signal processor (DSP) creates grey-scale image correction that provides optimum images. The new cameras provide a range 80 times greater than that of conventional video cameras.
"The introduction of Super Dynamic II demonstrates performance capabilities that most engineers would not have thought possible only a few years ago," says Mags Anthony, Director of Panasonic Broadcast and TV Systems Division. "Panasonic has developed camera technology that performs as efficiently as the human eye, overcoming the security market's inherent problem - the way cameras see and react to adverse lighting conditions."
The Super Dynamic II range includes the WV-CS850 series, the WV-CP460 series and the WV-CP160 series.
This range has arrived in South Africa and already Panasonic has received an order to supply over 900 of these cameras to Monte Casino in Fourways which is due to open in December.
