Dedicated Microcomputers Group (DMG) has announced the acquisition of Traffic Safety Systems (TSS), specialists in traffic law enforcement and mobile video surveillance technology.
TSS has been helping to keep roads safer, both in the UK and overseas, for more than 25 years. Police and other emergency services have long benefited from its range of speed detection and driver behaviour monitoring equipment, and it is the market leader in the UK for vehicle mounted video systems.
Ifa Trodd, TSS managing director commented, "I am confident that our skills and experience will bring an extra dimension to the DMG business, and that the combined resources of the Group will benefit all our customers".
Nigel Petrie, group chairman of DMG added, "The technological and marketing synergies between the companies are enormous. Dedicated Micros digital video recording equipment is already used extensively by police forces around the world. With mobile and rapid deployment CCTV systems becoming increasingly important, the acquisition of TSS provides us with an opportunity to offer specially-designed digital recording devices, video servers and related accessories to TSS' existing customer base and beyond.
"The acquisition is an important step for Dedicated Micros, as it bridges the gap between two highly complementary businesses. We are confident that this acquisition will benefit both TSS and DMG customers, underlining our core ethos of providing best value digital recording and CCTV solutions to public and private sectors committed to improving public safety and well-being."
