Sensormatic enables live webcast of Oktoberfest

For those who were unable to attend the Oktoberfest in Germany, Sensormatic gave Internet users the opportunity to attend the festivities virtually.

By logging on at www.sensormatic.com, Internet users were able to share in the fun with more than two million visitors who flocked to the festival from all over the world.Sensormatic teamed up with a group of German companies to make Oktoberfest,also called Wiesn, accessible to everyone in the world.

Sensormatic's WiesnCam2000 was used to enable a live transmission of Oktoberfest.The WiesnCam site also allowed Sensormatic to demonstrate the capabilities of its new digital video transmission system,EYE-C, and its related software technology, by transmitting live video footage from six cameras at the festival directly over the internet.
