Transponder module for secure designs

Vision Catcher has been awarded the vehicle-monitoring contract for the Cape Town bus tender.

With its project management partners, African Legends, which fronted the complete tender, Teletek, Vision Guard and others, Vision Catcher's involvement was to provide the detailed solution to the project managers for on-board CCTV monitoring and storage on the buses to run between the new convention centre and the V & A Waterfront. FleetVu provided the solution and, with its ongoing development for a dustproof and waterproof construction, Vision Catcher fulfilled the requirements of the tender.

The company provided full specifications as required to the Tender Board, and then backed up the project team with technical support for the final presentations to the Tender Board in July. After extensive discussions on the merits of different compression algorithms and the results that they produced in terms of resolution, it was accepted that the FleetVu system fulfilled the Tender Board's requirements.
