Lenel recently announced that seven news companies had enrolled in its OpenAccess Alliance Programme. These companies are Management Controls, Loronix Information Systems, PPM 2000, Vision Systems (ADPRO), Que Accounting, Internet Video Management Services, (Trakonic) and Integral Technologies.
The Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Programme, a security industry first, was launched in response to requests from end-users and industry consultants for integrated security systems based on open architecture and device independence. The Alliance Programme provides a framework for participating electronic hardware manufacturers and software developers to answer those needs. Lenel's OpenAccess is a set of standard application programming interfaces (API's) and supporting documentation that allows hardware manufacturers and software application developers to integrate their products into the Lenel total security knowledge management solution.
The OpenAccess Alliance Programme consists of two types of Alliance Partners: OpenAccess Certified Technology Developers, who offer electronic hardware-based solutions; and OpenAccess Certified Application Developers, who provide software-based solutions. Admittance to the OpenAccess Alliance Programme is based on a prospective member's ability to provide 1) additional value to OnGuard end-users, 2 quality customer care and 3) a commitment to developing and maintaining a seamless integration.
