Sesco has introduced its new range of Professional Series DVRs, all models being fully equipped with audio and having a range of I/Os that allows easy integration into existing intruder detection systems, fire systems, access control systems. According to Sesco there are a number of features of their new DVRs which make them attractive for use alongside conventional intruder detection solutions.
Motion detection
This facility promotes maximum space-saving on the hard drive. The Sesco Professional Series DVR takes motion detection to a new level. One can easily map additional cameras to record when a key area is violated to get a multidimensional view of a single event. Sensitivity adjustment increases or decreases motion monitoring per camera. This DVR supports Snapshot images and has the capability to e-mail snapshots of events to pre-defined addresses.
Recording
The system has true realtime display capabilities with the option to set frame rates per camera according to priority. Realtime recording is user selectable. Various recording options exist, including scheduled, continuous, motion detect, event alarm (input violation). Digital watermarking exists for protection against tampering of recorded images. The DVR has an event log for ease of reference. Both pre- and post-recording can be selected for a complete compilation of alarm events. It encompasses a high compression rate for maximum data storage.
Playback
Allows simultaneous playback and recording. It has enhanced search criteria selectable by object, event, date and time. Events are graphically displayed on a time chart for simple searching via a mouse click. Ability to play recorded files in forward and reverse modes adds a new dimension to viewing recorded events. Different playback speeds enhances the multidimensional monitoring capabilities of this DVR.
Remote monitoring
Remote monitoring via ADSL, TCP/IP (LAN and WAN), ISDN, PSTN. Remote management software for multiple site operation in one easy solution. Login to multiple sites by one mouse click over LAN/WAN. PTZ control. Web-based interface for Internet access. Multiple user login supported. An interactive E-map for user reference to cameras and their locations enhances its user-friendly interface.
Protection
The option to encrypt all recorded images exists for high level security. The system locks all archived files with a password. Different access levels can be set per user. The system has a built-in RS485 converter for PTZ control and supports a vast array of auto-dome cameras. Video overlay exists for integration of external devices that can stream data to the DVR system. This data can be mapped to particular cameras. Audio capture exists on all models and can once again be mapped to its respective cameras.
Data backup
This professional series DVR supports most backup mediums: DVD, CD Writer, network attached storage, etc. Additional features include a hardware watchdog, display tuning for best picture quality and one user interface that shows the status of all Inputs, outputs, motion detection and recording. Composite and SVHS outputs exist for additional monitors. The ability to map cameras to these outputs adds multifunctionality without the added expense of extravagant VGA cards.
