GE has bolstered its CCTV presence after acquiring Kampro Technology and will add it to its GE Interlogix unit. Kampro offers a full range of advanced, high-performance image sensing products that feature ultra-lowlight, ultra-high sensitive, high-resolution, harsh environment technologies, including the widest dynamic range sensing technology in the world that can display clear images in a mixture of very dark and very bright conditions.
"Kampro ... is a good fit for GE's history of innovation and product diversity within the security and CCTV markets," says Brian Poggi, president of GE Interlogix's video systems unit. "Kampro was an easy choice, and both companies are already flourishing from the exchange of ideas and technologies and our customers should be very excited for what awaits them."
The most immediate application of the Taiwan-based company's assets will be an improvement of GE Interlogix's pan-tilt-zoom surveillance cameras. "We are very pleased to become part of the GE family and we're looking forward to great ideas that we can create together," says Lanfer Yang, president of Kampro. "We also value our OEM customer relationships and we plan to build upon those relationships as part of GE."
