Entry-level camera

GE Interlogix Video Systems Group's new ExpressCam high-resolution, low-light performance camera ships in a compact package that includes everything needed for easy installation. Varifocal lens, mounting kit and power supply are standard.

"ExpressCam is a perfect entry-level camera system for a small business or a great add-on to existing security systems," said Darren Nicholson, GE Interlogix Video Systems Group vice president of marketing. "It is easy to install, offers tremendous flexibility of configurations and has a great price point. Additionally, the ExpressCam comes in a compact box, making it ideal for stocking on shelves at distributor and dealer store locations."

ExpressCam delivers usable images in extreme low-light conditions. Its Ex-View technology processes light at levels so low that one can obtain images even in unlighted areas. It also provides advanced digital auto-tracking white balance for accurate colour even under adverse lighting conditions.

The new camera features a built-in auto-iris lens available in 3-8 mm and 9-22 mm varifocal lens configurations and covered housing for the lens. It features 0,1 lux low-light sensitivity, digital signal processing and automatic backlight compensation so foreground objects are not silhouetted against bright backgrounds.
