Vicon Industries has introduced the new VN-306T 6-Camera Network Server, a 6-channel digital video transmitter powered by ViconNet software platform.
ViconNet allows each VN-306T to collect local video from its analog inputs and send streamed video over the network to the ViconNet Video Management and Configuration Software or Kollector Elite recorders, thereby providing considerable flexibility.
ViconNet also powers each VN-306T with the ability to be remotely configured from other recorders and workstations on the network. Changes to transmitter parameters are possible from one or more ViconNet Video Management and Configuration Software or Kollector Elite recorders. In addition, the VN-306T supports full PTZ control, alarms, picture quality configuration, external sensors, macros, and alarms. The VN-306T distributes its own collected video to each workstation, or other Kollector Elite Server, upon request over a network. Each recorder and workstation is capable of viewing 16 simultaneous cameras while supporting archiving, system configuration and the control of pan/tilt/zoom drives.
The VN-306T includes full 6-channel video transmission that can be displayed on an SVGA monitor and supports NTSC/EIA and PAL/CCIR video cameras. In addition, the VN-306T supports Internet connectivity for remote video transmission. ViconNet is a software concept that centrally ties network recorders using IP (LAN, WAN, or Internet) to create an integrated system capable of sharing video and audio resources.
The MGM Grand in Las Vegas uses a Vicon NOVA CPU and Matrix Switcher to manage and control up to 2000 cameras.
