The KXR is an advanced, network-able video management system that aims to deliver a long-term, low-maintenance digital video storage and retrieval solution.
Says Honeywell's CCTV manager, Chris Koetsier, "In plain language the main benefits of the KXR include its storage capacity, through the efficiency of MPEG4 compression, which delivers small video file sizes - approximately 1,2 to 3 KB. Bandwidth can be easily managed by event or remote frame rate/compression adjustments."
The system comes standard with an 80 GB hard drive with a total of up to three internal hard drives - plus one removable hard drive. Says Koetsier, "The removable hard drive is a very significant benefit because it provides an automatic backup facility. Every hour the data from the internal hard drives are backed up to the removable hard drive without any action on the part of the operator."
Additional features and benefits of the KXR include 400 images per second display (realtime) and 100 images per second recording speed (6,25 images per second per camera). Intelligent video management allows simultaneous video recording, monitoring and playback, permitting realtime investigation of alarm events. Installation and operation is fast and initial setup, including network configuration, camera recording parameters and alarm-based recording, using VMD or sensor inputs, is easy and straightforward.
