Recent government funding to Ghana National Security has spurred the decision to invest in a totally new control room facility using JVC equipment. The design and installation has been awarded to Pro Security Ghana Limited (PSGL), based in Accra, Ghana. The system includes two 70-inch JVC CinePro rear-projection screens and two DLA-SX21 high resolution video projectors for 24-hour central control room monitoring.
An intelligence source, commends the Ghanaian government on this order, "National security is a very important issue for the government. This new facility will allow the monitoring of several large and distant centres located throughout Ghana and should serve as a cue to other African countries to become more security conscious, especially in the current world climate."
The SX21 projector has a pixel level equivalent to 4,4 mega-pixels producing high resolution images. The CinePro rear-projection screens are lightweight and produce outstanding colour fidelity in high ambient light levels. A spokesperson from Pro Security Ghana: comments "our decision to choose JVC was based on reliability, support and speedy delivery."
The first phase of the installation is due to be completed in early August, 2003.
