Strengthening its ability to provide early warning fire detection solutions in hospitality, dormitory, assisted living and industrial applications, Simplex has introduced a highly flexible combination sensor that offers in a single, multifunctional unit heat and smoke sensing.
Simplex's new TrueAlarm combo sensor is distinguished by its ability to individually measure and process smoke and heat sensing activities. By combining TrueAlarm photoelectric sensing and TrueAlarm thermal sensing in one housing, Simplex brings customers better and more flexible early fire detection capabilities. In the combo sensor, Simplex's industry-leading TrueAlarm photoelectric technology accurately monitors for smoke activity. TrueAlarm thermal sensing provides accurate monitoring for fixed temperature, rate-of-rise temperature, or a combination of both.
"With this product, Simplex offers new combination sensor capabilities that advance our technological leadership and our ability to meet customer requirements," says Joe Ouellette, Product Manager, Fire Alarm Product Marketing. "The ultimate advantage is that the sensing technologies are independent, providing unique benefits without the use of complex algorithms that can get in the way of early fire detection.
"That kind of technological innovation and flexibility results in better protection of people and property," Ouellette says.
