Sensormatic Electronics Corporation has announced that its Access Control Division has become a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider, giving it access to software design, application development and other support services from Microsoft. The division plans to use Microsoft's Windows operating system to run future components of its C-CURE 800/8000 enterprise-wide access control systems.

"Microsoft Certified Solution Providers receive a wealth of exclusive resources and training directly from Microsoft to enhance their expertise in providing Microsoft technology solutions to customers," said Nigel Burton, Director of the MCSP Program and Microsoft Direct Access, Microsoft. "As an MCSP with Microsoft Certified Professionals on staff, Sensormatic ACD is helping the end user maximise IT investments on the Windows platform and we are pleased to have them onboard as a MCSP."

"We are very pleased to have Microsoft's considerable technical support available to us as we design a new generation of reliable enterprise-wide access control systems utilising the Windows operating system," said Steve Cannellos, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sensormatic's Access Control and SensorID Division.
