Advanced Technologies has introduced several new products and technologies to offer multiple solutions to the South African retail environment, including electronic article surveillance (EAS), digital and Internet CCTV, MW safer technology and stock management.
"We now offer a complete solution to shrinkage related management problems for both retail and business markets," says managing director, Neil O'Reilly. "Advanced Technologies, a specialist in radio frequency (RF) antennas and tags, now offers electromagnetic (EM) systems as well as super-sophisticated acoustomagnetic (AM) systems. In layman's terms any one of these three electronic article surveillance systems can be incorporated into merchandise tags that must be deactivated at the point of purchase or an alarm will sound as the customer leaves the store.
"We can offer multiple solutions to retail outlets such as liquor, apparel, DIY, mass merchandise, general dealers, fragrance houses, computer and electronic stores, music stores, stationers, libraries, pharmacies, and even offices," explains O'Reilly. Another sector that has been hard hit recently by burglars is small to medium sized businesses, specifically in the IT industry. Acoustomagnetic systems can be installed inside a computer and when the thief leaves the building, the AM system will set off the alarm.
Advanced Technologies also offers a stock management facility, which means retailers can outsource their entire merchandising security systems. The company will undertake to supply the security solution as well as the personnel to manage it. The management includes labelling the merchandise, then conducting stock takes, stock processing, stock checks, and stock input.
Advanced Technologies plans to grow and expand the company into Africa and the neighbouring islands. Says O'Reilly, "We are excited about the prospect of growth and we believe we offer the right solutions to address all vertical retail markets, at competitive rates."
