The Consumer Goods Council and Hi-Tech Security Solutions will again jointly host Retail Risk in 2011. Retail Risk is a conference aimed at assisting retail and security professionals to protect their retail business property, assets and customers.
This year's Retail Risk conference will build on the success of the previous three years and examine the benefits of the newly developed business/SAPS partnership in preventing crime as well as the tell-tale signs of insider fraud. We will also look at the way in which technology has improved the security of retailers and their customers in environments where management made security investments with an eye on achieving real returns as well as ensuring a conviction in every court case.
The ever-changing features, functionality and capabilities of new technology are changing the way everyone, from individual retailers through to malls and shopping centres are able to secure their operations, people and profits. In the long run, the ultimate goal is that what starts out as a security solution will have a measurable, operational return on investment and contribute to the bottom line.
The conference aims to provide delegates with real world, practical solutions that will assist them in securing their retail businesses.
Some of the 2011 highlights include presentations by:
* Lieutenant General Petros, Provincial Commissioner of Gauteng, SAPS.
* Willem Visser, Group Asset Protection, manager, AVI.
* Luché Joubert, manager Legal Counsel, British American Tobacco South Africa.
* Steven Powell, director, Edward Nathan Sonnenberg.
* Errol Peace, director, BTC Training and chairman of SAIS.
