The same security system employed by the FBI and the Kennedy Space Centre in the US will be used at Lanseria Corporate Estate, Gauteng’s newest upmarket industrial property development situated adjacent to Lanseria International Airport.
Custom designed by security engineers the system surpasses traditional safety methods used in South Africa which, in most instances, is restricted to surveillance and guarding.
Industrial property developer Jurgen Erhart of Efcon Capital believes that security is amongst the main considerations for many companies, both in their ongoing operations and when initially selecting premises. This thinking has driven Erhart to embrace the non-conformist, top-end custom engineered security system provided by Rentsec for the 90 hectare Lanseria Corporate Estate.
In addition to Israeli embassies around the world, companies using the same system locally through Rentsec include the likes of Kuehne + Nagel, UTi, Nestle, Altech, Bidvest, BMW, Vodacom, KFC and Nampak.
Lanseria Corporate Estate is a joint venture by an investment consortium including Efcon Capital and New Property Ventures. It is marketed by Montagu Property Group and Property Logic.
The exceptional estate’s 160 stands have been moving steadily since sales commenced with top companies signing up, including Cash Crusaders and Freeworld Coatings.
“Since launching Lanseria Corporate Estate, the high premium that companies put on crime prevention has become abundantly clear to us,” says Erhart. “Instead of providing the same old surveillance solutions which have proven limited time and time again, we did our research to find a proven full-blown security solution”.
The cutting-edge military-grade security solution is tailor-engineered to the specific requirements of the physical environment to which it is being applied, as well as numerous other considerations. The system is fully digitised, with failsafe measures, thus it avoids human error and flaws.
Rentsec director David Ash explains that, cameras paired with detectors are programmed to detect security breaches, this triggers a video alarm which is sent to Rentsec’s off-site monitoring control room where intervention specialists are able to respond to any emergency and to take immediate action and conduct an appropriate response alerting armed response units and emergency services telling them what to expect and where to go. Rentsec are also able to utilise outdoor horn speakers to identify intruders and let them know that they have been detected and that armed guards are coming for them.
Erhart is confident that this level and sophistication of security serves to distinguish Lanseria Corporate Estate. “We are dealing with top notch local and international companies and this is the level of security they want and expect in a corporate estate.”
Next to the region’s second largest international airport, Lanseria Corporate Estate offers a vibrant environment, where logistics, warehousing, industrial and related offices co-exist in attractive, ecologically sustainable grounds served by cutting-edge security systems.
