Exhibitors fired up for IFSEC SA 2014

May 2014 Conferences & Events

“IFSEC SA, now in its 21st year, is the largest and most targeted fire and security show on the African continent and provides exhibitors with an ideal launchpad for their products and services. Visitors to the show represent the decision makers in the various industries serviced by the exhibitors so this is a perfect opportunity to reduce the cost of a sale by attracting a large, captive audience,” Joshua Low, IFSEC SA event director at show organiser UBM Montgomery explained.

“Similarly, visitors to the show are able to access a wide range of products and services pertinent to their specific interest areas in one common venue. This substantially reduces the prolonged process of identifying suitable suppliers and the time spent interviewing each supplier on their available range,” said Low.

Targeted fire products

The Gallet F1 XF fire helmet from MSA Africa provides users with superior thermal and mechanical protection even in extremely hot conditions. The Aramide reinforced impact liner ensures protection from shocks and penetration and the suspension system results in lower force transmission. Four LEDs provide unique bidirectional light distribution forward and downward.

The wireless and fully disengaged alphaSCOUT from MSA Africa is the next generation of integrated control unit. It receives pressure information from the transmitter on the back plate and then calculates the remaining service time. A motion detector and alarm signal are also integrated. In addition to the shortrange signal transfer with the backplate transmitter alphaMITTER, it can communicate with an incident command base station by using a separate long-range signal. This gives it full telemetric capability. The base station automatically monitors all operative personnel so that at the first signs of trouble incident command can send help in. An evacuation signal can also be sent to operation teams or the entire crew.

Also from MSA Africa, the range of FlameGard 5 flame detectors include an advanced multi-spectrum flame detector UV/IR flame detectors and a test lamp that is precision-designed to test the MSA flame detectors.

NOSA Fire Risk Services provides fire risk management to all business sectors. This includes fire safety audits, fire risk assessments, comprehensive fire training, evacuation awareness training and evacuation drills, and the development of emergency and evacuation plans.
