Centurion raises the bar at HomeSec Expo

Centurion Systems unveiled its latest product lines at HomeSec Expo 2026, an exhibition and conferencing event held on 04 and 05 March 2026 at the Gallagher Convention Centre. Beyond new product lines, Centurion introduced SMART+, a simpler way for installers and end users to manage their Centurion products.

The launch event began with a brief recap of Centurion's 40 years in the home automation market, initially in South Africa and now globally. The company also thanked its installers and partners for their loyalty and support over the years.

Centurion introduced the SMART brand to the market some time ago and has now extended its functionality with the launch of SMART+, which incorporates SMART+ Cloud. At a basic level, SMART+ provides installers and end users with enhanced remote control of their automation products from anywhere.

The best news is that SMART+ already works with a range of Centurion products, and prices will not increase because of the new options.

Remote control and new products

Centurion already has several apps available to installers and users, from MyCentsys Pro, an installer app, to MyCentsys, an end user app. It is now updating its line with the SMART+ brand, and MyCentsys Remote will function as a remote control for gate or garage doors, as well as a centralised management platform.

The D4 SMART+ gate motor was also unveiled, slotting neatly between the D3 and D5 (which also support SMART+). The D5 supports a weight of up to 450 kg, moves at 28 metres per minute, and relies on a 12 V power supply. SMART+ functionality is also available in Centurion’s Vantage range of swing gate motors. The company also introduced its solar battery charger, which supports 12 V and 24 V gates.

The battery-operated Wireless SMART+ Siren was also unveiled, a siren that can manage up to four operators, such as gates or garage doors, simultaneously. It provides visual and audio alerts when triggered.

Finally, Centurion also introduced the SD05 SMART+ garage door motor in a sleek new design that incorporates the battery backup into the motor’s housing. The company promises fast and “whisper-quiet” performance.

Supporting the trade

Centurion went further to support its installers by announcing a new MyInstaller portal and app, connected to its Certified Trained SMART Installer (CTSI) Programme, which allows installers to list their companies and receive leads from enquiries directed to Centurion. The company also promises to market the portal to help partners secure more business.

All Centurion’s new products were on show at its stand in the exhibition hall, which naturally included many other companies demonstrating their products and services. Some of the companies exhibiting include: Secutel Technologies, OneSpace, Comb Communications, and the platinum sponsors, Turnstar and Staffix.

SMART Security Solutions will host a podcast after the event frenzy has died down, during which we will learn more about SMART+ and the benefits it delivers.
