Hikvision expands networking portfolio

SMART Surveillance 2024 Products & Solutions

Hikvision has launched a new line of wireless access points. The product range includes in-wall, ceiling, and outdoor models and the AC router, a compact unit that combines an AP controller, router, and PoE switch. These devices offer high performance, reliability, security, and flexibility, delivering user-friendly networking solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). They also integrate with security systems, helping build a safe, reliable wireless network that can handle many devices.

“We understand that a reliable, easy-to-use network is very important for our customers. That is why we offer Hikvision a wireless product portfolio for both networking and security needs,” says Randy Qian, Director of Networking Products at Hikvision. “Our wireless access points are not just about connecting devices, they are also important for enhancing efficiency, management, and security.”

Wi-Fi performance and stability

Hikvision’s wireless access points and AC routers support Wi-Fi 6 technology, delivering ultra-fast internet speeds of up to 3000&nMbps, even in high-density areas. What is more, each access point can support up to 100&ndevices; simultaneously, while the AC router can support over 500&ndevices.; This ensures that multiple devices can communicate without any delay.

They also offer various features to cater to users’ requirements for a reliable network. For example, the multi-WAN access and load balancing features boost the overall bandwidth of network access and prevent congestion; automatic channel and power adjustments reduce WiFi interference; and intelligent roaming ensures seamless connectivity as users move between locations.

Durability is also a key consideration in the design of the new product range. The outdoor access points are designed with an IP68&nrating, meaning they are protected from dust and water damage. Additionally, these wireless products have advanced heat dissipation functions to ensure uninterrupted service even under heavy loads. All these features work together to provide a reliable Wi-Fi experience.

Integrated networking and security solutions

Hikvision’s new access points, switches, routers, and other networking products can be seamlessly integrated with the rest of a customer’s security system. This means that small- and medium-sized businesses can create a single system to support both their network and security needs. This simplifies the management process and reduces overall hardware and maintenance costs.

It is also easy to set up. Installers can configure the network and security systems at the same time through the Hik-Partner&nPro; (HPP) mobile app. This provides installers with a unified interface to simplify the delivery process, providing a smooth experience for themselves and their customers.

The app also offers an intuitive topology for users to see how their network and security systems are connected and monitor their connection status. This makes it easier to troubleshoot any issues remotely, ensuring that the system stays up and running at all times. Users can tailor the app to meet their requirements with customisable features.
