A blazing hot day in late November saw the Electronic Security Distributors Association (ESDA) holding its annual Charity Golf Day at the Huddle Park Golf Course in Johannesburg. Many ESDA members braved the heat to play a round, supported by various sponsors offering refreshments along the way, as well as prizes for the evening’s festivities.
The beneficiary of this year’s golf day was the Edenvale SPCA, a worthy cause that received a donation of R22 789 after all was said and done. The players were also invited beforehand to donate food to the SPCA on arrival, resulting in a pile of pet food for the animals in need.
Naturally, there were numerous prizes handed out at the post-golf dinner hosted by ESDA Chairman Xarion Comoretto. The prizes ranged from random goodies, power tools, a wheelbarrow of refreshments of various potency, all the way up to a smart TV.
After a tough year, all the members and their guests were relieved to be able to take some time and relax, having a good day of golf and networking with their peers.
