Guardian Eye, an Internet of Things enabled remote monitoring and surveillance service provider; Hikvision, an IoT solutions and video security system provider; and TRSS, an armed response and guarding company, have partnered to create a strategic partnership that delivers security and intelligence at the edge.

Hikvision has recently expanded its reach into the Internet of Things (IoT) arena and its growing range of products and solutions has made it a sought-after partner for organisations looking to provide the South African market with resilient and relevant security solutions.

“Hikvision has both a local and global strategy, and our aligning with Guardian Eye means we can really service the security community and engage with customers at the intersection of value,” says Tim Yen, Sales Director at Hikvision. “We are starting out on a new venture that will not only allow us to stretch our capabilities, but redefine security in this country.”

Guardian Eye combines the intelligence of monitoring technology with data and analytics to create relevant and capable security solutions. Blending IoT devices, GPS tracking, sensors, security cameras, data monitoring, analytics, artificial intelligence, agile reporting and consistent measurement and tracking capabilities, Guardian Eye’s portfolio complements Hikvision’s strategic objectives.

TRSS has been in this industry for 23 years, boasting a fleet of over 150 armed vehicles and close to 400 residential estates, commercial, and industrial businesses. TRSS has highly trained tactical teams and armed response units utilising the latest technology in weapons through to auto despatch units in their vehicles, to cut down on reaction times.

“Together with Guardian Eye’s nerve centre receiving positive alerts, which is sent directly to TRSS, who despatches the necessary armed teams to prevent the crime before it happens. This proactive way of fighting crime is producing outstanding results for clients that have invested in this technology and reaction from Guardian Eye and TRSS,” says Brett Fisher, Executive Director at TRSS.

“These partnerships cement our focus on providing South Africans with truly innovative and holistic security solutions that tap into Hikvision’s expertise and reputation and leverage our market understanding and deep security knowledge,” says Rodney Taylor, MD at Guardian Eye. “Collaborating with Hikvision and TRSS ensures that our security solutions span the physical and digital realms and fully realise the potential of emergent technologies such as AI and automation. We want to be the premier solution provider for commercial and corporate entities in South Africa needing resilient and relevant security, and this partnership drives this strategy forward.”

The two companies have proven track records within the security sector and have delivered consistent results to customers, locally and globally. Combined, they ensure South African customers have access to the latest technology, the best solutions for their needs, and holistic support and expertise. These partnerships also drive growth for all companies, allowing them to expand their skill sets and create employment opportunities within the country.
