A hands-on, virtual tour

Issue 7 2021 Access Control & Identity Management

Sub-Saharan African provider of smart and secure access solutions, dormakaba South Africa, has announced that the latest update of its dormakaba 360° City app is available for free download on the Apple iOS, Google Android and Windows Store platforms.

The app is a virtual space created to enable existing and potential dormakaba customers to experience and explore its products in an innovative, interactive way. Users have the option of switching between 14 language settings without restarting the app. Additionally, they can change the region to access products only available in a certain country.

The dormakaba 360° City app lets customers gain digital experience of using its broad product portfolio. The app features more than 80 products across five different sectors: industrial complex, private living, airport, hotel and healthcare. A series of integrated videos let users become familiar with the functions of each product. If they require more detailed information about products, they can easily switch back and forth at any time between the dormakaba 360° City app and the product browser.

By clicking on any of the various buildings available in the city, the user can zoom into a range of products in their real-world environment, interact with them and get more technical information in the product browser. There are five modes in the product browser:

• The information mode provides all key product details at a glance.

• The explore mode provides the different configuration options and enables users to dismantle products to see their modular design.

• The third mode has all the fact sheets available in a summarised form.

• Fourth is a video mode.

• And finally, the fifth model lets users view the application and product shots as well as additional configuration options.
