Delia Emmerick returns to Onguard sales in Gauteng

Issue 7 2021 News & Events

Bringing on-demand technology to the private security industry, Onguard’s sales dynamo Delia Emmerick has hit the Gauteng market after a three-year sales stint in Cape Town. Returning to her home town and as she puts it, ‘her people’, Emmerick says she can’t wait to impress her network again with Onguard’s tried and tested tech solutions in guard patrol and visitor management systems.

Emmerick will be heading up the Johannesburg office sales with technical support from Zandre Jordan and Zain Byleveldt, who together manage hardware setup and onsite fitments.

“Its simple, I’m a people person and I like to engage my customers face to face,” says Emmerick. “My goal is to dominate the Johannesburg security market. I like to build rapport with my clients. People need to know who we are. Our clients are private security companies and that is who I will be speaking to.

“Onguard is well-known in the Cape for its family values and dedication to delivering premium technology for access control and guard patrol radios and monitoring. I am ready to plug back into the business energy that makes Johannesburg so special.

“The private security industry is sensitive after Covid and very competitive. We have to approach things cautiously still, but the nature of B2B sales is best demonstrated in person. Thankfully with the new lockdown adjustments it is easier for me to set up appointments to visit clients on site, which I am excited about.

“The challenge is that many businesses who were thriving pre-Covid are now facing cash flow issues and with people desperate to be financially healthy again, we are seeing other companies in the security industry giving away products at stupid prices.

“From our perspective, the market is on the uptick and our technology is solid and our prices in line with our competitors. Where we win, is our client relationships and after sales service. It is easy to sell a product once off but Onguard is about nurturing our clients and offering them ongoing customer service and industry support.”

She adds, “What sets us apart is that we are PoPIA- and Covid-compliant, but most importantly, our hardware ensures an advanced technology for hands-free security management. All our access control and guard patrol systems and radios have daily reporting direct to the cloud. There is no more paper and pen required for managing a visitor and we offer a complete health and identity background check of the person and the vehicle on entry.”
