Securex West Africa is back and bigger in 2022

Issue 4 2021 News & Events, Conferences & Events

Back in May 2022 with a revitalised offering, Securex West Africa is looking forward to reconnecting the industry over three days, from the 10th to 12th May 2022 at the Landmark Centre, Lagos, Nigeria. Since the last live event in 2019 the organisers, Afrocet Montgomery, have been busy working on new ideas that can give a boost to the market and bring the sectors’ leading manufacturers, suppliers and end users back together to fill the gaps that might have developed.

The 2022 edition of Securex West Africa will be the tenth edition that has taken place and as the size of the event has grown, new trends and opportunities have presented themselves in the market. Because of this, the organisers wanted to update the scope available at the exhibition and bring in some additional key sectors that will help to drive audience numbers for both the exhibitor and visitor side of the event.

In 2019, the exhibition integrated Firexpo West Africa for the first time, this co-locate focused on the fire protection, prevention and safety sectors within West Africa and by bringing in its own focused marketing campaign, conference sessions and stakeholder engagement strategy the opportunities displayed to those in the sector were very well received by exhibitors and visitors alike.

With what the organisers learnt from this and after conversation with the security community they are introducing two new pillars under the Securex brand that will help to bolster the offering for all those in attendance. These are Facilities Management West Africa and Smart Cities West Africa.

Smart Cities West Africa has been launched to connect smart technology solutions for secure, sustainable urban development in West Africa. By bringing in companies that focus their products on cutting edge, smart technologies that allow urban development to thrive, this co-locate will help encourage the region to be more energy efficient and digitally capable.

Facilities Management West Africa has been created to act as the platform to connect the FM community in the region on an annual basis to discuss the significant issues and promote best practice by showcasing the best regional and international products and services. And with the continued rapid population growth and urban development this sector is forecast to grow exponentially in the coming years.

By bringing in these three pillars that all complement Securex West Africa and help to target the key visitor demographics the organisers aim to provide a full 360 security and building management exhibition that reinforces and delivers for its community in West Africa.
