Trinity highlights wireless technology

Trinity Telecomms, distributor of Wavecom wireless technolog products in Africa used Securex 2003 to demonstrate how the wireless world opens unlimited horizons for new, innovative applications. A case in point is the fact that the WISMO (wireless standard module) technology makes it easy to add advanced wireless voice and data capabilities to almost any device.

Furthermore, developers need tools and a base of expertise to tailor WISMO advantages to their specific needs quickly and easily. It is for this reason that Wavecom has created the MUSE (modular user software environment) platform, an innovative and comprehensive platform enabling wireless application developers to take advantage of the fast-growing market for GSM (global systems for mobile communication), GPRS (general packed radio systems) and CDMA (code division multiple access) products and services.

The first product available in the MUSE platform is Open AT for vertical market applications like telemetric and automotive applications. The second is the Open MMI which allows users to tailor handset applications to their own needs. Open AT offers several advantages, one of which is the reduction in component count resulting in smaller, cheaper applications.

Regarding Securex 2003, Trinity Telecomms believes that the exhibition was well organised and the change of venue was met with great appreciation from both exhibitors and visitors alike. "The idea of special invitations being sent to corporations in the relevant industry contributed enormously to the high quality of visitors at the exhibition. This was demonstrated by the enthusiasm showed by visitors to our products and the feedback received during and after the exhibition. The complementary free parking to exhibitors and visitors was another positive aspect to the whole exhibition.
