Reacting to a demand for temporary, mobile physical security, Turnstar Systems has developed a number of containerised turnstile systems. Craig Sacks, MD of Turnstar, explains that the customised solution can be quickly and easily moved to wherever it is needed.
“This temporary physical access security solution provides an affordable mobile solution for controlling access at pop-up and remote events, as well as for construction sites. Turnstar develops bespoke container conversions to suit the specific turnstile specifications of customers who need physical access on-the-go,” says Sacks.
The benefits of these containerised solutions include:
• Pick up and go: A container can be easily moved from one location to another on a lowbed truck.
• Money-saving: The cost per square metre of a customised steel container is significantly lower than the cost of constructing a building from scratch. In addition, the containerised solution can be used repeatedly, so it is a long-term asset.
• Durability: The containers are made from rugged, weather-resistant steel for superior strength and security, making them ideal for use in even the harshest and most demanding terrains and ambient conditions.
Each 6,1 metre or 12,2 metre refurbished container can be designed to incorporate a number of Turnstar turnstiles and paraplegic gates together with a combination of a number of optional extras. The design alternatives are immense and users can add any number of the elements to suit their own requirements.
The interior and exterior of these container conversions are painted in QD enamel in the customer’s choice of colour and can be equipped with Chromadek wall partitions to sectionalise the container. All containers are equipped with a single-phase (220 V) distribution board complete with mains breaker, earth leakage and circuit breakers (to suit customer requirements), and a certificate of conformity (COC) is provided with each installation.
