Paxton releases latest door entry monitor

Issue 4 2020 Access Control & Identity Management

Paxton has added to its video entry product line by launching its next generation standard monitor – the Entry Standard monitor. Ideal for these changing times, there is no need to greet visitors in person at the door as the new monitor allows you to view guests via video before granting or denying access.

Developed in response to customer feedback, the new standard monitor offers a feature-rich and cost-effective solution for a range of applications – from schools and hospitals to offices and residential buildings. Like other Paxton products, this monitor is engineered with a focus on simplicity and ease of use.

The monitor includes advanced audio quality, full-duplex voice communication and a clear user interface on a 4,3-inch capacitive touchscreen, making it the ideal choice for any building. Its simple user interface with call and event log can be easily personalised with 14 different theme designs and its smart new call snapshot feature enables you to see missed calls, so you never miss a visitor again.

Steve Rowlands, global product manager, said: “The second-generation Entry Standard monitor blends contemporary aesthetics with high-quality materials and clean user interface. It has been designed to fit into any environment. The monitor features a glass-covered capacitive touchscreen and high-quality front facing speaker with a high contract screen ensuring the monitor is always easy to read”.

The whole entry video system consists of three components that auto-detect on setup: external panel, interior monitor and door control unit. This monitor is a real plug-and-play solution that can be used with a range of panel options – standard, premium and vandal resistant – making the whole system flexible for a wide variety of sites. The standard monitor completes Paxton’s entry range, joining the Entry Premium Monitor, ideal for high-end sites and the recent Entry Audio Monitor, for sites where only audio verification is required.

Paxton’s door entry system is fully compatible with Paxton’s Net2 networked access control system, which has just received a future-proof update, Net2.v6.03, as well as Paxton10 – the new unified access control and video management solution. The monitor also works as part of a standalone solution and comes with Paxton’s five-year warranty.

When integrating video door entry with Paxton’s Net2 access control system, the standard monitor features action buttons giving customers an additional layer of control with functionality, like opening additional doors on the system or unlocking external gates.

New and notable in the Entry Standard monitor:

• Smart, simple call and event log.

• 14 themed designs for end-user customisation.

• Clear user interface on a 4,3-inch capacitive touchscreen.

• High-quality audio with front facing speaker.

• Full-duplex voice communication.

• Additional functionality with the unlocking of multiple system doors and external gates.

• Quick and easy to install, either to a wall or desk with or without a handset.

• Fully compatible with Paxton’s Paxton10 and Net2 systems or as part of standalone door entry solution.

The Entry Standard monitor is now available to purchase from Paxton’s approved distributors. The UK security manufacturer is also running free webinars and online training to support installers and end users so they maximise the potential functionality of Paxton products.
