Suprema ID’s BioMini Slim 2 is no stranger to the biometric and identity market, but recent developments have this ultra-Slim FAP20 fingerprint scanner now supporting Windows Hello.
Windows Hello is a biometrics-based technology that enables Windows 10 users to securely access their devices, apps, online services and networks.
The sign-in mechanism is basically an alternative to passwords and is widely considered to be a more user-friendly, secure and reliable method to access critical devices, services and data than traditional logins using passwords. Windows Hello allows organisations to eliminate passwords, thereby improving user experience and increasing privacy and data security at the same time.
BioMini Slim 2 is Citrix Ready and compliant with FIDO2 standards, extending the convenience of biometric authentication to online services through mobile and desktop Web browsers.
“We are pleased to offer a Windows Hello solution to our global customers who are using BioMini Slim 2 that has FBI/FAP20 certified high image quality and live finger detection function powered by our own deep-learning technology,” comments Suprema ID CEO, Bogun Park. “Our Windows Hello offering strengthens our commitment to increasing security and convenience for our customers.”
The product will be released in South Africa at the end of April 2020.
