May 2003 marks IFSEC's 30th year. All along, IFSEC, organised by CMP Information, has retained its position as the key event in the global industry's calendar - last year's event attracted over 26 000 visitors.
As one of IFSEC's traditional components, the CCTV Village has provided the focal point of the global CCTV industry for many years, and was the world's largest IP showcase in 2002. This year's event is set to continue this trend, expanding into the broader implications of IP technology in this key market place. There is also a dedicated CCTV day at the adjoining IFSEC Conference organised by the British Security Industry Association.
This year a major new educational feature will accompany the CCTV Village.
The Networked Security Knowledge Zone will span the CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and IT security disciplines with individually themed strands aimed at installers, end-users and consultants. It will present a mix of expert-led seminar sessions and cutting-edge product demonstrations. A regular feature, the Business Development Zone, which offers a programme of free seminars on diverse topics ranging from nighttime CCTV to perimeter security, will offer a further free information resource.
IFSEC and Security Solutions 2003 takes place from 19-22 May 2003 at the NEC Birmingham. The events adjoin International Fire Expo, Safety & Health Expo and ACPO - The International Police Conference and Exhibition.
The five events combine to make one of the most formidable fire, health, safety and security events in the world.
