UK-based secure identification specialist TSSI has formed an alliance with Trac-Tech of South Africa, which will involve Trac-Tech integrating Verid+ fingerprint recognition technology into its existing time and attendance solutions. The alliance gives Trac-Tech access to proven biometric technology that is used daily by thousands of individuals in commercial and governmental organisations worldwide.
TSSI has chosen to work with Trac-Tech as a result of the company's experience in the development of advanced security and monitoring systems. South African legislation requires all businesses to operate a time and attendance system, making it essential for Trac-Tech to provide a practical and straightforward solution.
Robin Horne, TSSI's international sales and marketing director for the region, said, "Trac-Tech's experience and local market knowledge made them the obvious choice when we were looking to expand our presence in South Africa. Their technical expertise and high level of customer service, combined with a record of successful product innovation, will enable them to use our biometric technology to deliver added value to their customers.
"The agreement means that together we can now address the growing demand for reliable, cost-effective and secure time and attendance products."
The integration of fingerprint recognition technology with Trac-Tech's systems eliminates the possibility of fraud or misuse by requiring employees to enter a unique PIN number and present a matching fingerprint to successfully clock in verifying that the correct individual is present.
