The new miniature CyberScout camera system from Kalatel combines the essential features of a surveillance system in an economical pan/tilt dome. Equipped with a high-resolution, variable speed pan/tilt colour camera housed in a 4,9 inch (12,4 cm) heavy-duty, tamper resistant aluminium housing, the CyberScout's built-in receiver remotely controls digital zoom and other programmable options for increased surveillance options.
"Users and installers can now efficiently replace limited fixed position cameras and obtain the increased benefits of pan/tilt/zoom with the CyberScout," affirms Darren Nicholson, GE Interlogix, Kalatel Division vice president marketing. "This is especially important where space is limited or discreet surveillance is needed. From employing shadow tours to being able to quickly zero in on a problem as it occurs, this miniature system provides installers and users with greatly increased flexibilities in designing systems that protect retail centres, financial institutions, schools and their campuses."
CyberScout's weather-resistant housing can be employed indoors or out, withstanding temperature ranges of 10 to 50°C. It is rated IP65 for dust and water, allowing it to operate effectively in inclement environments.
In addition, the CyberScout system includes tamperproof screws and a polycarbonate dome for vandal resistance. The dome shroud conceals the camera position for discreet viewing.
