Wavetrend appoints active technology distributor

Wavetrend Technologies has appointed Cape Town-based Virtual Technical Consultants (VTC) as its distributor of active solutions in the asset tracking and access control market.

Confirming this, Stuart Pickering, MD at Wavetrend, says the appointment comes in the wake of VTC having completed the rollout and installation at a government department of the biggest active radio frequency identification (RFID) reader system currently in SA using Wavetrend readers and tags.

"We recognise VTC's strengths in the access control and asset tracking market and its long history of working with active technology makes the company an ideal distributor for us. Additionally, VTC has a nationwide channel of reputable business partners to install their solutions," says Pickering.
