Elvey International recently announced a new range of Pyronix infrared detectors and control panels. The range includes the Colt XS PIR, whose size allows for easy and discreet installation whilst offering an attractive array of features. This neat dual infrared is selectable in 1, 2 or 3 pulse count settings, as well as having a complementary ceiling or wall-mount bracket.
The Octopus range of PIRs provides 360° detection. This ceiling-mount PIR provides coverage for obscured areas, office partitions. Mounting heights can vary from 2,4-4 m in height with coverage of 8,8-12,8 m.
The Eclipse EP is a dual technology detector that is particularly suitable to environments which are more susceptible to false alarms, eg, kitchens, supermarkets with open fridges, etc. The smooth and discreet appearance of the Eclipse EP blends neatly into any interior. The microwave and passive are adjustable from 5-15 m in length, while the microwave is set to a frequency of 10 GHz thus enhancing a more direct detection pattern.
To complement the detector range, Elvey International has also launched the new Matrix 832 control panel. The Matrix is an eight-zone control panel expandable to 32 zones. The cosmetically pleasing panel features four arming modes, as well as four true partitions with an account code per partition, a 300 event log, Windows-based up/downloadable software, 32 user codes, contact ID and SIA formats.
