Suitable for smaller installations such as garages, banks and mini-factories, Panasonic's new WJ-HD200 digital disk recorder is an 8-channel hard disk recorder with a built-in multiplexer and a built-in 120 Gb disk.
A further 120 Gb disk can be installed as an optional extra. It also has a built-in network interface for remote access via LAN/WAN or Internet and boasts simultaneous recording, viewing and networking capability as well as audio recording facilities. The image capture rate is 25 fps at high density recording levels across all eight inputs.
"Importantly, the quality of the images captured by the WJ-HD200 is high, providing J-PEG compression and clear 720 x 286-pixel resolution," says Mags Anthony, director, Panasonic CCVE systems department. "This, together with its multiple features, makes the WJ-HD200 a powerful system component."
