Samsung's SWC-146V Samsung Viewer software enables users to remotely monitor realtime images from Samsung Webthru camera servers and video servers and record them directly to a computer's hard drive via an intranet or the Internet.
Via a user-friendly interface, SWC-146V images can be recorded instantly or via a preset recording schedule, such as daily, weekly, or monthly. Users can select the frame rate by which the image is recorded and use the data size configuration feature to set the time by which data file size will be partitioned. For example, with a setting of 30 minutes, data will be divided into three pieces if recorded images are one and a half hours long. Once images are recorded, they can be converted to AVI or ASF files for wider distribution.
The SWC-146V software works with Samsung's family of Webthru cameras and video servers, all of which use Wavelet image compression technology. All Webthru cameras and servers feature motion detection and alarm input, image compression and decompression rate controls, on-line remote upgrade of software, and external video input.
