Despite the tough economic climate during 2001, ADT Security Guarding managed to secure a number of new clients and contracts. Pieter du Toit, MD of ADT Security Guarding said competition in the industry had been fierce during the past year and the company had faced considerable challenges.
"The proposed ban on foreign investment in the local security industry was satisfactorily resolved, thus allowing continued investment to grow the business and create more employment opportunities in South Africa. Our commitment to delighting our customers was further crystallised by the recently awarded ISO 9002 accreditation. We remain focused on delivering a world-class service to both our established and our newly acquired clients," he said.
ADT Security Guarding's new 2001 clients included Broll Properties in Johannesburg, Computer Science Corporation in Cape Town and the FNB Call Centre in Johannesburg.
