In September, Comb Communications held its Innovation Showcase 2017 at La Toscanna, Montecasino, and hosted close to 200 delegates, ranging from installers to estate managers and security industry specialists, with sponsorships from Centurion Systems and MTN Business.
The event was earmarked as a turning point in the Comb Communications history after a recent brand revitalisation and a clear focus and positioning of the company’s role in the future, as a design and development house that specialises in the Internet of Things (IoT).
An informative, yet casual question-and-answer session set the tone for current and future developments at Comb, with CEO Graham Wild unveiling a roadmap for what the technology holds.
From pioneering the use of technology in the market to a track record spanning over ten years and more than a million gate openings daily, Comb Communications has grown into a business that is leading the way in access and control, by integrating systems and web service platforms.
“We provide smart access and control solutions and intuitive management thereof, through current technologies and web-based applications, along with the backing of a design-focused development house,” said Wild.
“The functional products we manufacture, referred to as Combware, seamlessly integrate with a newly-designed web-based platform, which we have called Comb Portal, that provides you the power to control your access with a myriad of powerful new features, based on feedback from our customers over the last 10 years.
Guest speakers for the day included Nechan Naicker from EDA Technologies, who focused on customer experience, followed by self-made millionaire, entrepreneur and motivational speaker Billy Selekane, which had the crowd on the edge of their seats while covering innovation during times of disruption.
