An electronic security systems company in Zambia, Lumax Systems, specialises in the installation of electronic security systems. Its client, the Judiciary of Zambia, where the Supreme Court, High Court and Constitutional Courts are located, had problems where people would fill up the court premises waiting for hearings, etc. As a result, entrance to the building was not restricted.
The client saw it fit to put in place security systems that will enable them to screen people before they are allowed in and help control the flow of traffic on the premises.
ZKTeco developed a set of solutions to fit the requirements of the courts, which resulted in Lumax Systems choosing ZKTeco as its provider. Products chosen were the new range of entrance control devices for pedestrians, vehicles and inspection products, as well as KR600 RFID card readers, C3-200 RFID door controllers and RFID cards for security purposes within the building.
Employees have their own secure entrance, while visitors are managed when they enter, either on foot on in a vehicle. The client, the Judiciary of Zambia is happy with the systems. Some of the products chosen include:
• ZK-D3180S walk-through metal detector with 18 mutual over-lapping detecting zones and simultaneous alarms from multi-zones.
• FHT2300 full-height, semi-automatic turnstile with a stainless steel cabinet and modular design.
• PB1000 parking barrier. The boom prevents entry of unauthorised vehicles to restricted areas and is raised by the linkage between the gate and the remote control, access control system, long-distance reader and number plate recognition system. If a floor sensor is installed, a strike can be avoided and the boom will be automatically lowered after the vehicle passes through the gate; otherwise, the boom can be lowered manually.
