Morpho, now called OT-Morpho, once again had a prime position at Securex. “We have traditionally played a major role in Securex,” says Paul Jeremias, MD at Morpho South Africa, “and this year was no different.”
OT-Morpho sported a large display at one of the primary entrances, showing its range of access and time and attendance solutions, with a large team of product specialists, private meeting areas, product information books, videos and images.
Some of the flagship products revealed to visitors included:
MorphoAccess SIGMA Extreme: This is the world’s ‘toughest-ever’ range of fingerprint biometric terminals, designed to withstand the most demanding industrial environments: from dust, salt and rain, to attempted vandalism and accidental impacts. It features tempered glass (which can withstand the impact of a 500 g steel ball dropped from a height of 2 m), ultra-bright touchscreens designed to work in direct sunlight, powerful loudspeakers for noisy environments, and built-in cameras capable of operating in varying levels of light.
MorphoWaveTower: Ideal for those environments that require fast throughputs of high-volume traffic, MorphoWave Tower’s contactless scanning allows users to remain ‘on the move’ when passing through control points, as the unique system captures and matches up to four fingerprints with a single hand movement.
MorphoTablet 2: This unit is designed to provide absolute mobility in areas like civil registration, voting and elections, time and attendance, border control, and any other kind of access control. The 8-inch touchscreen includes 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, full enrolment and ID verification, capturing signatures, fingerprints, and scanning documents as needed.
