In a bid to boost security and halt malicious threats and exploits, including zero-day attacks and ransomware, Duxbury Networking has released a new end-point detection and response platform.
Sophos Intercept X is a new-generation, signatureless anti-exploit, anti-ransomware and anti-hacker technology that includes root-cause analytics and advanced malware clean up.
According to Andy Robb, chief technology officer at Duxbury Networking, Intercept X integrates powerful ransomware protection that’s capable of automatically stopping ransomware attacks as soon as they’re detected and rolling back damaged files to their pre-attack state.
“Intercept X also includes advanced anti-exploit technology that blocks zero-day threats without the need for traditional file scanning,” he explains. “In addition, automated forensic reporting is included, providing a 360-degree visual analysis of attack events while tracing them back to their origins. It also pinpoints additional infection points, provides advanced clean-up of malware and offers prescriptive guidance for strengthening an organisation’s security posture.”
Robb adds that a key feature of the Sophos Intercept X technology is its ability to hunt for – and eliminate – deeply embedded spyware and lingering malware that have been missed by conventional cyber security software and anti-virus systems.
