The 19th instalment of AfricaCom conference and exhibition will take place from 15–18 November 2016, at the Cape Town International Conference Centre. The new, weeklong festival format (14-18 November) and re-brand of AfricaCom will set the bar even higher for industry players through the expansion of the event offerings, creating a broader platform for delegates involved in powering the digital economy in Africa.
New conference features for 2016 include the Leaders In Africa Headline Keynotes - a series of international names discussing Africa’s digital development story at the end of each day, ASTARS (a leaders under 30 programme) and new content tracks focusing on Enterprise ICT, Big Data, IoT and Smart Cities.
Other conference highlights include mobile finance and commerce, connecting Africa, LTE Africa, TV connect Africa and big data. Back by popular demand is the AHUB, powered by Ericsson - the meeting place for Africa's start-up community; linking business ready entrepreneurs, developers and start-ups with accelerators, investors, VCs and business mentors. The event will feature facilitated meetings between start-ups and VCs across three days.
