The Certified ISO 22301 Lead Implementer course from ContinuitySA enables participants to develop the necessary expertise to support an organisation in implementing and managing a Business Continuity Management System.

The training helps delegates to understand what the goals of each clause in the standard are, why you would want to achieve them and then how to do it. It aligns the plan/do/check Deming cycle renowned with ISO standards with the best BCM practices. The full course takes place over five days.

Programme content

• Introduction to Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) concepts as required by ISO 22301 and initiating a BCMS.

• Planning a BCMS based on ISO 22310.

• Implementing a BCMS based on ISO 22301.

• Controlling, monitoring and measuring a BCMS and the certification audit of a BCMS in accordance with ISO 22301.

• ANSI Accredited Certification Exam.

The course will be available on the following dates:

• 18-22 April 2016 in Johannesburg

• 9-13 May 2016 in Cape Town

• 6-10 June 2016 in Johannesburg

• 15-19 August 2016 in Johannesburg

• 12-16 September 2016 in Cape Town

• 17-21 October 2016 in Johannesburg

• 31 October-4 November in Cape Town

The Certified ISO 22301 Foundation course provides participants an opportunity to learn about the best practices for implementing and managing a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) as specified in ISO 22301, as well as the best practices for implementing a Business Continuity Process. This is a two-day course.

• Introduction to Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) concepts as required by ISO 22301.

• Implementing controls in Business Continuity according to ISO 22301 and Certification Exam.

• 1-2 June 2016 in Johannesburg

• 3-4 August 2016 in Johannesburg

• 8-9 September 2016 in Cape Town
