The newly updated BioMini SDK 1.2 for Android delivers enhanced compatibility with two new key updates. Previously only compatible with BioMini Slim, the SDK now also supports Suprema’s top-selling BioMini authentication scanner. This mean that registered Suprema Android developers can now offer their clients the same functionality as before, but with more compatible device options.
The second update enables the SDK to store clear fingerprint images directly to the Android device through bitmap image format support. Previous support was limited to pure fingerprint template/minutia processing used purely for authentication purposes. The addition of bitmap support opens up the Android functionality to Civil and Criminal Identity Platforms. These platforms utilise physical images for enhanced Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS) processing as well as storage and retrieval for systems and processes that need to produce fingerprint reports for record keeping and investigative procedures. Typical applications include matching against civil AFIS systems such as the Home Affairs National Identification System as well as criminal clearance AFIS systems.
The SDK embraces image and template standards and is MINEX-certified.
