Securiton’s SecuriRAS ASD 535 aspirating smoke detector is a sensor system that detects incipient fires. The ASD 535 consists principally of a nose and a brain: one or two sampling pipes aspirate the air of the area being monitored and convey it to the sampling chamber – the brain – of the fire detection device. This contains a scattered-light smoke detector, which analyses the continuous airflow: if the smoke particle threshold is exceeded, it triggers an immediate alarm.
A smoke sensor sporting new HD (High Dynamic) technology, the ASD 535 represents a considerable improvement over its predecessors. One single system is now capable of monitoring larger areas than ever. Its new HD technology has elevated smoke particle detection to a new level of perfection, where even the minutest concentrations of smoke can be detected reliably. The ASD 535 recognises disturbance variables such as dust and dirt as impressively as it does changing conditions in the area being monitored. From electronics cabinets to theatres and airports, the new system watches over buildings and rooms with unparalleled sensitivity and intelligence.
