The South African Institute of Security (SAIS) is hosting its annual end-of-year lunch along with a seminar on 18 November 2015. The seminar starts at 08.30 with lunch following at 12.00, and will be held at the Italian Club, 7 Marais Rd, Bedfordview, Germiston, 2008.
The seminar is the first of a planned series of continual professional development events focused on the latest trends and conversations in security and risk management for security professionals, risk managers and decision makers within the security environment.
Nico Snyman will be speaking at the event on 'Improving Insight, Reducing Risk'. Snyman is a retired SAPS Brigadier with extensive experience in security and risk management, training and education. He was the chief security officer during the construction of the Gautrain and the security executive for its first years of operations before founding the Global Leaders Academy and Crest Advisor Africa in 2014.
Johan Du Plooy will speak on 'Organisational Resilience – Survive and Prosper'. Du Plooy is a highly experienced global security professional with a long and varied career within the security industry. He is a group senior partner with global risk management specialists, the Temi Group.
Eytan Nevo will talk on 'Security Applications in a Complex World'. Nevo has substantial experience in security ranging from being a member of the counter terror unit of the Israeli Defence Force to his current role as managing director at global security service providers, Dynamic Alternatives.
