Dual sensors for colour and night operation

November 2001 Surveillance

Extreme CCTV has released a dual sensor integrated day/night (IDN) camera that guarantees colour performance under bright day conditions and LXR-infrared illuminated performance in the night. The unique design (with patent application pending) integrates two CCD sensors, infrared illumination and many control functions to provide seamless operation from day to night conditions, and night vision beyond 150 ft.

Benefits include:

* Colour by day with a HyperHad sensor, auto-iris varifocal lens and IR-cut filtering to block all possibility of IR-read of daytime foliage.

* No focus shift in switching from day to night scenes since there are two dedicated CCDs each with its own lens.
