Selectamark aims to etch out car theft

Vehicle crime accounts for a fifth of all recorded crime in the UK and is estimated to cost £3,5 bn a year. With these statistics in mind, Selectamark has developed a new car kit, which aims to deter would-be car thieves by permanently etching car windows, making it difficult for them to get away with their crime.

The car kit contains eight stencils and two window stickers, a glass-etching compound and a registration card. It also allows the owner to register their car details on a national database.
