IDS has announced that it will be participating in an initiative to contribute to the development of technical skills in South Africa and assist unemployed learners in gaining experience to enable them to find permanent employment.
IDS will participate in this necessary project by taking on 10 unemployed learners for the purpose of providing them with workplace learning opportunities for a period of nine months (from March to November).
By the time the youngsters join IDS, they will have all completed the classroom learning portion of either an NQF 4 qualification in Technical Support or an NQF 5 qualification in System Support.
The 10 learners will be joining the following departments during this period:
• Automated Testing: 1 learner.
• Cape Town Sales: 2 learners.
• Customer Repairs: 1 learner.
• Durban Sales: 2 learners.
• IT: 1 learner.
• JHB Sales: 2 learners.
• Technical Support & Training: 1 learner.
