The ultra-small RS485 PicoProx proximity reading head, part of the AccSens Plus access control system from SensAble Sensors, is housed in an aesthetically pleasing plastic enclosure with all electronics totally encapsulated in epoxy.
It is suitable for both interior and exterior applications, even in harsh environments. The RS485 PicoProx communicates with the host controller (AccSens Plus or similar) over a RS485 network and can be located up to 1000 m from the controller.
The PicoProx is available in two options: with relays for controlling the door or without relay, and is suitable for personal access control; motorised gate applications; and parking applications.
Also part of the AccSens system is the DorMag credit card reader, a versatile, low-cost reader designed for access control applications. The DorMag reads standard ISO Track II magnetic stripe cards and has a number of industry standard outputs.
With a footprint of only 65 x 45 mm the DorMag has the option of incorporating a proximity reader for dual technology applications.
